Safety is Our Priority
All our massage therapists are registered and insured. Each RMT undergoes in person interviews, reference checks, a practical exam and a police check. Once you book your massage you will be able to see the RMTs full name and photo so you are aware of exactly who will be arriving to give you your massage. For the safety of the RMT going to a person's home we require all customers to verify their ID before booking their first massage. This is done through a third party verification company to ensure the validity of that person. All of the payments are done on-line so no need for either you or your RMT to handle any cash.

Massage Breaks Clients
-
Why do I need to validate my ID?For the safety of our therapists going into the homes of people they don't know we require that you validate your identity with a selfie and government issued valid ID through a third party company.
-
How are the massage therapists vetted? Our therapists are interviewed in person along with a practical exam. They are checked upon their interview date to determine if they are in good standing with the CMTO which is their governing body. We also require a police check to fully vett each RMT.
-
What massage services do you offer? We offer Swedish Massage, Prenatal, Deep Tissue, Sports, Back to Back and Massages for Companies and Events. All of our massages are based upon the same price per duration the only variation is the type of massage you prefer.
-
Do you offer massages to people under 18?Yes we do. We have many families who include their children into their massage visits. We require just that you speak to us first to go over all the details of what to expect and answer and further questions you may have prior to booking.
-
What if you don't have a therapist in my area? Please contact us directly. Often we have RMTs who are willing to travel outside of our already extensive locations.
-
What are your hours of operation? We offer massage services from 9am-10pm 7days a week, 365 days a year. If you are wishing a massage outside this current time frame please give us a call at 647-404-7175 or email us info@massagebreaks.ca and we can try and accommodate your request.
-
Why do I need to fill out a Health History form?Registered Massage Therapists in Ontario are required by the CMTO to have a written Health History Form with a valid consent. All completed forms are kept private and kept on file.
-
What is a Sensitive Areas form?Registered Massage Therapists in Ontario are required to discuss and obtain consent for certain sensitive areas that may be indicated to work on during a massage above and beyond the usual consent to treat. Those would be the gluteus area, upper chest/pectoral regain and the inner thigh. When your therapist is discussing the treatment with you he or she may discuss working on these parts of the body in order to achieve results based on your Health History Form and treatment ideas. You are under no obligation to say yes but if you do they require consent. If you have any further questions please ask your therapist to explain further. You could also contact us if you would like additional clarification.
-
Do I receive an insurance receipt?Upon completion of the massage service your therapist will issue you a receipt that you can use for tax purposes or your extended health care benefit provider.
-
Is there a minimum amount of time I need to book? For any onsite massage services we require a one hour minimum. If you would like to add additional people in your household we can add massage services lasting 30 minutes or more. Please contact us directly so we may accommodate your group or family.
-
Can I book a massage service for my minor child? We do provide services for younger clients under 16 years of age but request all bookings are made through our office and require a person aged 18 years or over to be present for the massage service and to sign off on the consent form.
-
Do I need to supply anything?Just yourself and a space. We bring all the equipment to you.
-
Can I extend my massage time? You may ask your therapist when they are there if you can extend your time. They may or may not be able to based on their schedule but will try to accommodate any requests where possible.
-
What should I expect once my therapist arrives at my home?Your therapist will discuss with you briefly about where the best place in your home is to set up. Once they are set up they will go over the details of your health history and recommend an outline of what they will work on during the massage. These will be based on any health concerns or areas of focus they need to concentrate time on. They will also obtain consent to treat what was discussed. Before they start they will set the up the area to create a conducive and relaxing environment with dimmed lighting and soft music. They will explain how to get onto the table, how you will be draped during the massage and excuse themselves to wash their hands prior to commencement of the massage. During the treatment they will check in with you about pressure to ensure you are happy with the massage. At the end they will leave the room to wash their hands and allow you time to get off the table. After the massage they will recommend home care options for you based on their findings and issue you a receipt. Then you can just relax in the privacy of your own home!
-
Can I book again with the same therapist?Yes you can. When you book on-line with Massage Breaks you can search dates and therapists that work for your schedule.
-
Can I book a massage with a therapist directly instead of Massage Breaks?Massage Breaks allows therapists to work on the honour system. We invite you to continue to book with Massage Breaks in order for us to deliver a high level of service and therapist.
-
Payment optionsIn order to book On-Line with Massage Breaks you will need a major credit card. If you do not have one please contact us and we can see what alternative options may work for you as well.
-
How is parking handled? If a therapist is required to pay out of pocket for parking in order to deliver your massage the parking amount that was issued will be added to your bill after the service. They will let you know as well if they had to pay for parking when they arrive. All therapists will do their best to find free parking or street parking at every visit.
-
What is the cancellation policy? You may cancel you massage 24 hours before your scheduled massage and there will not be a charge. The full amount of your massage service will be charged within the 24 hour period of your booking. This is done because Massage Breaks could have filled that spot with another client if given sufficient notice and work the RMT was committed to now has been left with a possible large booking space.
-
Does Massage Breaks offer corporate or event bookings?Yes we do. We offer chair massage and table massage for small to large events and for companies looking for a single emlpoyee reward event or as part of their on-going wellness program. Please contact us at 647-404-7175 or info@massagebreaks.ca

Relaxation in Chair
Employees relax on our portable, ergonomically designed chair as massage techniques are applied over clothing. The focus is in tension points found in the back, neck, shoulders, arms, hands and head. (Treatment can take as little as 5 minutes or can last up to 30 minutes.)
Therapeutic Table
In a tranquil space created by heated blankets, fresh linens and calming music, employees receive their massage from a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) on a portable therapeutic table. After a consultation, the therapist will use hypoallergenic, unscented oil applied directly to the skin while treating areas of concern. Areas not being treated are covered at all times. (Treatment is available in 30, 60, 90 or 120 minute sessions.)
